We’ll visit, measure up and give you a firm written price. No obligation.
Going above and beyond for our customers is what we would consider our bare minimum. We're proud to put our name on every project we complete, because we know it's the best quality work in the Manawatu.

Plenty of the concrete around Palmerston North is structurally fine and simply looks its age. Dusty, stained, patched in three shades of grey, or just a dated finish on a house that has since been renovated. Replacing all of that is a big spend when the slab under it has years left in it.
Resurfacing puts a new bonded surface over the top. There is no breaking out, no truck carting concrete away and no rebuilding the base, so it is faster and cheaper than a replacement and there is almost no waste. What you end up with is a fresh, even finish in the colour and texture you picked.
The catch is that it only works on a slab that has stopped moving. An overlay is a surface, not a structure, so it does nothing to hold together concrete that is cracked through, rocking or sinking. We look at the slab before we price anything, and if resurfacing is the wrong answer we say so and quote the replacement instead. Selling someone an overlay that fails in a season does us no favours either.

Nearly all of the work is preparation. The surface gets cleaned back hard and then ground or blasted to open it up, because an overlay will not stick to a sealed, polished or oil-soaked face no matter how good the product is.
Then the repairs. Cracks are cut out, filled and bridged, edges and broken corners rebuilt, and anything hollow or delaminated is taken out back to solid concrete. If water has been getting under the slab, that gets sorted here rather than covered up.
Once the surface is sound we prime it and lay the overlay, then finish it the way you have chosen — broomed for grip, trowelled smooth, coloured or stencilled. Joints are carried through from the slab below so the new surface moves where the old one does, then it is cured and sealed.
The rule is the same everywhere: sound slab, tired surface. The finish then gets chosen for how the area is used rather than how it looks in a brochure.
Dusty, stained and patched driveways brought back to one even surface, with enough texture to keep grip in the wet.
The area people actually look at on the way in. A non-slip overlay ties an old path in with newer work around it.
Where a dated finish is the only problem. Colour and texture chosen to work with the house as it is now, not as it was.
Chalky, dusting floors ground back and given a hard, sweepable surface that takes a coating if you want one later.

We turn up, we do the job properly, and we do not leave until it is right. Twelve years of laying concrete across the Manawatū means there is not much we have not poured. The same standard goes on a two-metre path as goes on a full driveway.
No estimates that balloon. The price we quote on site is the price you pay.
No subcontracted crews. The bloke who shook your hand pours your concrete.
Falls, drainage and cure times matched to Manawatū winters — no ponding, no early cracks.
If our workmanship ever lets you down, we come back and make it right. Simple.
We resurface concrete in every Palmerston North suburb and the surrounding Manawatū towns. If you are not sure whether we come out your way, give us a call — we usually do
Fill in the form or call 06 280 1182. We reply within one working day and book a time that suits you.
We come to your Palmerston North property, measure up, check access and drainage, and talk through the finishes.
You get a fixed price in writing with the scope spelled out. No estimates that creep once we start.
We break out the old surface, prepare the base, set the boxing and reinforcing, then pour and finish by hand.
We cure the slab properly, cut the joints, tidy the site and tell you exactly when you can walk and drive on it.
No, and this is the part worth getting right. Resurfacing works when the slab underneath is structurally sound — tired, stained, dusty or dated on top, but not moving. If the slab is cracked right through, rocking, sinking or lifting, an overlay will crack in exactly the same places within a season. We assess it before we price it.
Meaningfully cheaper, because you are not paying to break out, cart away, re-excavate and rebuild the base. There is no demolition and no waste. How much you save depends on how much prep and crack repair the existing surface needs first.
Most residential jobs are two to three days: grinding and prep, crack repair, then the overlay and finish. It is quicker than a full replacement mainly because there is no dig-out.
Broom or textured for grip, a trowelled finish where you want it smooth, and coloured or stencilled patterns where the surface is on show. We can also grind and polish an existing interior slab rather than overlay it.
Only if the cause is left in place. A crack from a slab that has stopped moving gets cut out, filled and bridged, and it stays gone. A crack from ground movement or a washed-out base will reappear, which is why we fix the cause first or tell you to replace instead.
Usually between 6mm and 20mm depending on the product and the finish. That matters at doorways and garage thresholds, so we check clearances before we start rather than after.
Foot traffic after 24 to 48 hours and vehicles after about a week, the same as new concrete. We will tell you exactly when yours is ready.
A properly bonded overlay on a sound, well-prepared slab lasts for many years. It is not a substitute for replacing a failed slab — the durability comes from what is underneath, which is why we are honest about when replacement is the better spend.
All of Palmerston North and the wider Manawatū, including Ashhurst, Bunnythorpe, Feilding, Longburn and Linton.
Completely. We measure, talk through the options and leave you a written price. If it is not right for you, no hard feelings.
If it is concrete and it is residential, we pour it. Every job starts the same way. We come to your property, measure up, talk through the finishes and give you a firm written price.
