We’ll visit, measure up and give you a firm written price. No obligation.
Going above and beyond for our customers is what we would consider our bare minimum. We're proud to put our name on every project we complete, because we know it's the best quality work in the Manawatu.

Paths, steps and patios take more of a beating from Manawatū weather than people expect. Laid without proper falls they hold water, grow moss and turn into a slip hazard by mid-winter, and a badly formed step is a trip hazard from the day it goes in. We set everything to drain, finish it with enough texture to stay safe underfoot, and keep the edges straight, the curves fair and the rises even.
These are also the jobs where the setting out matters most. A path has to follow the garden beds without looking awkward, a patio has to work off the back door and the deck it meets, and a set of steps has to divide the height it is climbing into rises that are all the same. None of that comes off a plan — it gets worked out on site with a level and a string line.
We are deliberately small, so the person who comes out to measure is the person forming the boxing and running the trowel. That matters more on this kind of work than on a big open slab, because almost all of it is edges, curves and junctions with things that are already there.

It starts with a string line and a level, working out where the water needs to go and how the new concrete meets the door thresholds, deck edges and garden beds that are already there. On steps this is also where the total rise gets divided so every step comes out the same.
Then the ground work. Excavate to depth, basecourse in and compacted, boxing set to the falls we worked out — straight where it should be straight, and cut to fair curves where the path is following a bed rather than kinking around it.
Mesh goes on chairs, then we pour, screed and finish by hand. Control joints are saw-cut once it has gone off and spaced so the slab has somewhere to move, and then it is cured properly rather than left to dry.
They usually come as a set — a patio off the back door, a path around the side, steps tying the two levels together. Doing them at once means one pour, one finish and everything matching.
Set to drain away from the house, textured for grip in the wet, and run wide enough to actually use. Straight runs or even curves through garden beds.
The cheapest square metre of outdoor living you will buy. Level, generously sized, and finished so you want to look at it rather than cover it.
Consistent rises, crisp nosings and non-slip finishes. Formed by hand off the deck, door or path they connect to, with handrail fixings cast in where needed.
Grippy underfoot wet, set to drain away from the water, and poured around the shape rather than squared off near it.

We turn up, we do the job properly, and we do not leave until it is right. Twelve years of laying concrete across the Manawatū means there is not much we have not poured. The same standard goes on a two-metre path as goes on a full driveway.
No estimates that balloon. The price we quote on site is the price you pay.
No subcontracted crews. The bloke who shook your hand pours your concrete.
Falls, drainage and cure times matched to Manawatū winters — no ponding, no early cracks.
If our workmanship ever lets you down, we come back and make it right. Simple.
We pour concrete in every Palmerston North suburb and the surrounding Manawatū towns. If you are not sure whether we come out your way, give us a call — we usually do.
Fill in the form or call 06 280 1182. We reply within one working day and book a time that suits you.
We come to your Palmerston North property, measure up, check access and drainage, and talk through the finishes.
You get a fixed price in writing with the scope spelled out. No estimates that creep once we start.
We break out the old surface, prepare the base, set the boxing and reinforcing, then pour and finish by hand.
We cure the slab properly, cut the joints, tidy the site and tell you exactly when you can walk and drive on it.
Most paths are one to two days and a patio two to three, depending on size and how much has to come out first. Steps take longer per square metre than anything else because every one is boxed by hand.
900mm is comfortable for one person, 1.2m lets two walk side by side or a wheelbarrow pass. Most people who go narrow to save money regret it, and the extra width is a small part of the total cost.
75mm to 100mm over a compacted base for foot traffic. If a car or a trailer will ever cross it — and on a lot of sections something eventually does — we pour it as a driveway instead, because a path-thickness slab will not take it.
Not if the falls are set properly. Every path and patio needs a slight fall away from the house so water runs off rather than sitting on it or tracking back towards the foundations. Getting that right is the single most important part of the job.
A smooth trowelled surface can be, which is why we do not use one outside. A broom or textured finish keeps grip in the wet, and exposed aggregate is grippier still. Moss on a badly draining path is what actually makes people slip.
Broom or textured for grip, exposed aggregate where you want the stone showing, coloured concrete mixed through the pour, or saw-cut and sealed patterns. We bring samples to the quote.
Yes. Steps are set out from what they connect to — the deck height, the door threshold, the path level — so the rises come out even. We measure that on site rather than working to a standard height.
That is most of what these jobs involve. Boxing gets set around what is already there, levels worked off door thresholds and deck edges, and edges kept straight or curved to follow the garden beds.
All of Palmerston North and the wider Manawatū, including Ashhurst, Bunnythorpe, Feilding, Longburn and Linton.
Completely. We measure, talk through the options and leave you a written price. If it is not right for you, no hard feelings.
If it is concrete and it is residential, we pour it. Every job starts the same way. We come to your property, measure up, talk through the finishes and give you a firm written price.
Plain, coloured or exposed aggregate — kerb appeal that adds real value.
Even rises, crisp edges, safe underfoot — formed and finished by hand.
Fix the failed section instead of replacing a driveway that is still sound.
