We’ll visit, measure up and give you a firm written price. No obligation.
Going above and beyond for our customers is what we would consider our bare minimum. We're proud to put our name on every project we complete, because we know it's the best quality work in the Manawatu.

By the time a path cracks or a slab drops, something underneath has already gone wrong. A base that washed out, water running where it should not, roots working under the edge, or a pour that was too thin for what ended up on it. Patch the surface and leave the cause, and the same crack is back the following winter in the same place.
So we start by working out why. That is usually obvious once you look at where the water goes and how the slab is sitting, and it decides what the repair actually needs to be. Sometimes it is a genuinely small job. Sometimes it means rebuilding the base under a section before anything gets poured.
We also pour new concrete every week, which is the reason we can be straight with you about the choice. If a driveway or path is far enough gone that repairs are throwing money at it, we will say so and price the replacement instead. If it is a two-hour fix, we will tell you that too rather than talking it up.

First we work out what failed and why, because that decides everything after it. Where the water runs, whether the slab rocks, whether the crack is still opening — all of it tells you what the repair has to deal with.
Then the failed concrete comes out. We saw-cut to a straight line, usually to an existing control joint, rather than breaking out a ragged patch. A clean cut is what makes the repair look deliberate instead of obvious.
With the section out, the base gets rebuilt and compacted, drainage sorted if water was the problem, and reinforcing tied in so the new concrete is connected to the old rather than floating beside it. Then we pour, finish to match as closely as it can be matched, cut the joints and cure it.
Most repairs fall into one of these. None of them are too small to ask about — a trip hazard on a front path takes us very little time and is worth dealing with before someone goes over on it.
Cut out to a joint, base rebuilt, repoured and finished to match. The cause gets dealt with first so it does not reopen.
A dropped slab means the ground beneath it has gone. We lift or replace the section and rebuild what is underneath.
Crumbling driveway edges, chipped step nosings and blown corners formed up and repoured so they hold up to traffic.
Lifted joints, dropped steps and uneven bays. Often the quickest and cheapest job on this list, and the most worth doing.

We turn up, we do the job properly, and we do not leave until it is right. Twelve years of laying concrete across the Manawatū means there is not much we have not poured. The same standard goes on a two-metre path as goes on a full driveway.
No estimates that balloon. The price we quote on site is the price you pay.
No subcontracted crews. The bloke who shook your hand pours your concrete.
Falls, drainage and cure times matched to Manawatū winters — no ponding, no early cracks.
If our workmanship ever lets you down, we come back and make it right. Simple.
We repair concrete in every Palmerston North suburb and the surrounding Manawatū towns. If you are not sure whether we come out your way, give us a call — we usually do

You get a fixed price in writing with the scope spelled out. No estimates that creep once we start.
We break out the old surface, prepare the base, set the boxing and reinforcing, then pour and finish by hand.
We cure the slab properly, cut the joints, tidy the site and tell you exactly when you can walk and drive on it.
It depends on how much of it has failed and why. One cracked bay in an otherwise sound path is straightforward to repair. A slab that is broken in several places, sinking, or sitting on a washed-out base is usually cheaper to replace once than to keep patching. We tell you which one you have at the assessment.
Usually one of four things: a base that has washed out or was never compacted, reinforcing that was missing or laid on the ground, control joints cut too late or spaced too far apart, or water getting somewhere it should not. Tree roots and heavy vehicles on a thin slab account for most of the rest.
We can, and on a hairline crack in a stable slab that is a sensible, cheap fix. On anything that is still moving, filler is cosmetic — it will reopen. We will tell you honestly which situation you are in rather than taking money for a repair that fails.
We match the finish and get as close on colour as we can, but a new pour against concrete that has weathered for fifteen years will never be invisible. It fades closer over the first year or two. Where an exact match matters, repouring the whole bay to a joint looks far better than a patch.
Most repairs are a one to two day job — cut out and prep on the first day, pour and finish on the second. Small crack and edge repairs are often done in a single visit.
Yes. A slab that has dropped means the ground under it has gone, so we lift or break out that section, rebuild and compact the base properly, and repour. Filling the gap at the surface without dealing with the void underneath just moves the problem.
Yes, and it is worth dealing with early. A lifted slab edge or a step that has dropped is a genuine hazard and often the cheapest repair on the list. Grinding down a small lip or repouring a bay both take very little time.
Yes, and doing both is the reason we can be straight with you about it. We pour new concrete every week, so we know what a repair will cost against a replacement and we have no reason to push you towards the dearer one.
All of Palmerston North and the wider Manawatū, including Ashhurst, Bunnythorpe, Feilding, Longburn and Linton.
